About the Role
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting and reporting for the client and its portfolio of start-up companies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a rewarding career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and/or execute accounting and reporting for the client and its portfolio companies
- Month-end close processes, account reconciliations, accounts payable and expense reimbursements, accounts receivable, invoicing and collections, payroll, insurance coverage, capitalization tables, tax requests, and due diligence requests
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer on other projects and initiatives
- Work with the Financial Planning and Analysis department to provide financial insights and support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or another quantitative discipline
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in accounting
- Ability to manage and maintain a general ledger
- Ability to execute and improve efficient month-end accounting closes
- Ability to generate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Technical accounting research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication, and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
