Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional - English Language Learners (ELL) to join our team at the School District of Beloit. The successful candidate will provide support to students who are English Language Learners, helping them to overcome language barriers and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to ELL students, helping them to develop their language skills and access the curriculum
• Assist teachers in creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the needs of ELL students
• Develop and implement strategies to promote language acquisition and cultural awareness among ELL students
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure that ELL students receive the support they need to succeed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 48 college credits or an associate's degree
• Eligibility for Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide Certification #883
• Ability to lift/move 50 pounds where applicable
• Basic information technology and media skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment required
