Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our Cardiac Device team at Hennepin Healthcare.

This is a 0.5FTE (5 shifts/pay period) position, working 8 hour shifts on a day shift schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Support care and care coordination of patients requiring EP services in ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Partner with the EP team and work cross-functionally with procedural areas, inpatient care areas, and ambulatory care settings to achieve comprehensive and smooth patient care and provider support.
  • Provide and coordinate nursing care by protecting, promoting, and optimizing health, preventing illness and injury, alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response, and partnering with the patient, their family, and significant others.
  • Document interventions and an individualized plan of care.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of current specialized Cardiology nursing experience with advanced knowledge of cardiac anatomy and electrophysiology.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate frequently with the electrophysiologist and other members of the care team.
  • Certification in area of clinical specialty.
  • BSN preferred, with advancement in academic education discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
