KidStrong Assistant General Manager

The KidStrong Assistant General Manager serves as the vital support to the General Manager, playing a key role in nurturing a culture of growth and education for both coaches and families. This position is crucial in achieving significant business outcomes, including enhancing sales performance and reducing member turnover. The Assistant General Manager is a charismatic, approachable, and inspiring leader dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for children, families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Center Operations

Grasp the essential KPIs and financial metrics of the center to make informed and prudent business choices.

Develop and sustain relationships with KidStrong families to align with our core values and deliver exceptional customer service.

Oversee center-level initiatives, including maintenance, training, and brand consistency.

Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and upkeep of the center.

The typical work schedule includes four weekdays and one weekend shift, with specific hours based on the center's needs.

Effectively communicate any changes in coaching schedules using the appropriate scheduling and communication tools.

Plan and promote KidStrong events such as camps and parties to maximize center profitability.

Sales

Maintain impeccable lead management by conducting outreach to new and existing leads within the center's CRM system.

Conclude sales and bookings generated through the online self-sign-up process.

Identify and participate in local events to boost brand visibility and drive additional leads and memberships.

Leadership

Encourage a coaching culture by promoting open communication.

Regularly assess and document coaches based on the KidStrong Coach DNA profile and class quality.

Collaborate with the General Manager on the onboarding, management, training, and evaluation of coaching candidates.

Support the ongoing professional development of staff through training platforms.

Communicate professionally with colleagues via messaging and email, including regular checks of messages when not in the center.

Coaching

Engage with students by delivering a dynamic curriculum focused on brain, physical, and character development for children from walking age to 11 years old, as needed by business demands.

Understand the rationale behind the KidStrong curriculum and communicate it clearly and effectively.

Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum components.

Utilize the coaching app to record data and provide information (attendance, awards, etc.).

Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, which may include moving through classes and lifting equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Comfortably interact with children to ensure proper technique and maintain student safety.

Approximately 5-10 coaching hours per week.

Skills/Qualifications

Athletic or coaching background with experience working with or coaching children aged 15 months to 11 years is essential; a passion for working with children is non-negotiable.

Comfortable engaging with parents/guardians on various topics.

Achieve Coach Certification through the designated training and certification team.

Complete necessary training through the required platforms.

Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is advantageous but not mandatory.

Previous management experience is preferred but not essential.

Practical experience with Google and Microsoft applications.

Familiarity with systems and platforms such as ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, and ADP is preferred but not required.

Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.

CPR certification is required.

Sphere of Interaction

This role does not involve direct reports. When the General Manager is unavailable, the Assistant General Manager will assume the Manager on Duty responsibilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital as the Assistant General Manager will serve as a leader and mentor, collaborating closely with center team members and families.
