**Job Summary**

Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager, provides direct nursing service supervision on the unit ensuring comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. Assists with day-to-day management of unit operations. Assists with oversight of clinical and resource utilization, patient throughput, quality assessment and improvement, patient/staff provider satisfaction, interpretation of policies and procedures, staff education and regulatory compliance. Participates in the selection and evaluation of staff as delegated by the Nurse Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and coordinate the delivery of nursing care on the unit.
  • Assist with the management of unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and analyze clinical and operational data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve operational and clinical goals.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
