Key Responsibilities:
- Review batch documentation prior to initiating the material preparation process.
- Ensure the accuracy of weighing instruments.
- Assist in the production of UV and water-based flexographic inks and coatings.
- Check the availability of raw materials before starting the preparation process.
- Document inventory movements accurately.
- Weigh materials according to specified requirements.
- Prepare necessary documentation, including labels for containers.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment.
- Report any discrepancies in raw materials to the supervisor.
- Clear the preparation area after completing each batch.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of manufacturing areas as needed.
- Learn to operate a forklift (training will be provided for certification).
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with the proper use of weighing scales.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to read measurements accurately.
- Understanding of standard practices and procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Basic computer skills.
- Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work full shifts, which may vary in length.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift heavy items occasionally, with a maximum weight of 50 lbs. The role requires standing for a significant portion of the shift. The work environment may expose you to varying weather conditions and noise levels.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in batch weighing for inks or cosmetics.
