Burn Performance Improvement Coordinator Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Burn Performance Improvement Coordinator to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. This role will be responsible for coordinating clinical, operational, and performance improvement initiatives within the Burn Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend Burn Activations to enhance burn team performance and support concurrent process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Burn Team to assure coverage for time-sensitive responsibilities and duties.
  • Serve as a resource to patients and families to ensure optimal provision of burn care.
  • Attend Multidisciplinary rounds with the Burn team.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary performance improvement activities in relation to burn patient care and outcomes.
  • Support and assist in design of burn process improvement and continuous quality enhancement projects.
  • Perform concurrent medical record monitoring and data collection to include complications and quality metric fall outs.
  • Coordinate the Burn performance improvement program in conjunction with the Burn Program Manager and Burn Medical Director.
  • Evaluate both the clinical and Burn Registry data in conjunction with the Burn Program leadership and utilize this information to improve the clinical care of burn patients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in burn and/or critical care.
  • Experience as Burn RN Preferred.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and take direction and delegation of tasks.
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and presentation style.
  • Quality Assurance, LEA, and or Performance Improvement background preferred.
