About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at GreenbergFarrow. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of projects, ensuring quality control, and delivering project results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all project phases from design to contract document and specification production, shop drawing checks, site visitation, and project closeout.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects, making civil engineering design decisions independently and elevating complicated design decisions to the Project Manager.
  • Direct and coordinate the workload with other project team members, coordinating with internal and external team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Licensure in engineering is required.
  • Excellent technical knowledge within the field of civil engineering.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and with integrity.
  • Strong planning, organizing, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work, manage, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-manage projects from start to finish, with oversight.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio or Form-Z, Photoshop, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning codes, and approval processes related to civil engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of building systems and site requirements related to civil engineering (Structural, MEP, Civil & Geo-Tech).
Work Environment

This position requires sufficient physical ability to perform work in an office setting, which includes extensive employee contact, frequent interruptions, and the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods. The position also requires physical mobility on and around construction sites before and after the installation of landscaping, pavement, stairs, elevators, electricity, heating, and air conditioning.
