Job Summary:

Quick Med Claims is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our customer service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to patients and clients, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and respond to voicemails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients with questions and concerns regarding their billing statements, account status, memberships, and payment options.
  • Provide first call resolution and navigate multiple systems to resolve customer questions, complex issues, and requests.
  • Manage calls in a timely manner, consistently with quality and proficiency.
  • Build rapport with callers using a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Resolve complaints, problems, and inquiry issues to client/patient satisfaction; de-escalate tense situations and turn them into productive conversations.
  • Verify/Collect demographics and update as necessary within system.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of compliance with all laws and regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, Associates degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment.
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred.
  • Possess time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must display sufficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Customer service focus on both internal and external clients.
  • Must display positive attitude.
