About the Role:

We are in search of a skilled and seasoned Senior Automotive Financial Manager to take charge of our financial operations. This pivotal role will be crucial to our finance department, overseeing all monetary aspects of our automotive enterprise. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in automotive dealership finance, along with a robust understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and taxation. Exceptional leadership and strategic planning capabilities are vital, complemented by a meticulous attention to detail and a focus on process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all financial activities of the automotive enterprise, including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, reports, special analyses, and information summaries.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lead and facilitate budgeting and business planning initiatives, including the formulation of financial forecasts and analyses.
  • Implement and oversee internal controls to guarantee that accounting operations comply with established legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and leadership on decision-making matters impacting the organization.
  • Assess and advise on the implications of long-term planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Drive enhancements to optimize financial operations and efficiencies.
  • Oversee the calculation and distribution of sales commissions.
  • Conduct floor plan reconciliations and fulfill dealership controller responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally within the automotive sector.
  • Experience as a dealership controller is essential.
  • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and strategic planning.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Superior analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with floor plan reconciliation is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of managerial finance and business planning.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing internal controls.
