About the Role

Liberation Programs Inc. is a leading behavioral health organization in Fairfield County, CT, specializing in treatment for substance use disorders. We're seeking a skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally competent counseling services to individuals recovering from substance use disorders.
  • Connect individuals with wraparound support services in the community.
  • Offer a range of supportive services, including brief individual counseling, intensive counseling, care coordination, and consultations.
  • Engage family members in the recovery experience.

Requirements:

  • CT State licensure as an LCSW, LADC, LPC, or LMFT.
  • CAC or Master's degree in a mental health-related field, with coursework and experience in substance use disorder treatment.
  • Prefer experience providing evidenced-based SUD services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Understanding of a recovery-oriented and consumer-driven delivery system.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and computer skills.
