Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to contribute to our finance team and support the accurate and efficient management of financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the monthly closing process, including reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and compiling the monthly closing package.
  • Develop comprehensive reports (monthly cash flow projections, budget analyses, etc.) for internal management and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare various governmental and non-governmental reports and surveys as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain and update accounting procedures and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of accounts and reconciliations, encompassing bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
  • Assist with the year-end audit process by providing relevant financial information.
  • Provide clear and concise account descriptions and balances to managers and employees upon request.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an MBA, is preferred.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of the CPA designation is highly desirable.
  • Three to seven years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze detailed financial information independently and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of a modern office setting. The role requires routine sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to see and hear effectively.
