About Us
Miami Rescue Mission Inc is a prominent organization committed to serving the homeless and vulnerable populations in South Florida. We offer a range of vital services including emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, educational opportunities, healthcare, and transitional housing.
We are currently seeking full-time Residential Services Coordinators to oversee and support clients at our facilities.
Available Shifts:- 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
- 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Position Summary
The Residential Services Coordinator (RSC) is responsible for monitoring and supporting clients within our facilities. Key responsibilities include facilitating new client orientations, ensuring compliance with facility policies, managing emergencies, and providing logistical support for various events.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise front desk operations and maintain a respectful environment for clients and visitors.
- Conduct regular safety checks and address any hazardous conditions promptly.
- Report maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment for all stakeholders.
- Manage emergencies according to established protocols and document incidents accurately.
- Communicate effectively with staff and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor client activities and ensure respectful treatment of all individuals.
- Assist in the orientation process for new clients and volunteers.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to clients based on their needs.
- Participate in community outreach and ministry activities as required.
- Adhere to the organization's values and mission statement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; coursework in social work or related fields preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in social services or a related field.
- Strong moral character with an understanding of homelessness and addiction issues.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills.
- Able to multitask and make informed decisions compassionately.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to see, hear, and communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to move around the facility as needed.
