Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at King County. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing primary mental health care services to patients in our correctional facilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including patient interviews, medical history, and mental status exams.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring coordination of services and oversight of referrals.
  • Provide psychiatric consultation, patient assessments, treatment plans, and information to patients and families for specialized health care programs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with governing standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Washington State medical (MD/Psychiatry) license in good standing.
  • Board certified or board eligible.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of alcohol and drug addiction and withdrawals.
  • Experience providing care to diverse socio-economic populations.
