Job Summary

Rockingham Clinical Lab is seeking a full-time, weekend Medical Lab Tech to join our esteemed team. As the Medical Lab Tech, you will play a crucial role in our operations, covering a wide range of testing sections, including blood bank, coagulation, hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.

The Medical Lab Tech must have two years of experience in an acute hospital setting and be ASCP MT certified.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains equipment and investigates problems with equipment.
  • May assist in teaching Clinical Laboratory Science students and Pathology residents and training of new employees.
  • May monitor daily operation of laboratory section or work area.
  • May participate on teams or individually perform special projects/assignments.
  • Performs a variety of routine and standardized tests using standard techniques and equipment.
  • Prepares specimens, resolves specimen problems, and performs analytical tests.
  • Records results of tests and maintains records.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Science, or Biological Science.
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification eligible and must receive BOC within a year.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) or MLT (AMT) Board of Certification (BOC) required.
Work Details
  • Full-time position.
  • Weekend shift, Friday - Monday, 6:30pm-7:00 pm.
  • Exempt from overtime.
