Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues. You will work closely with physicians to interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and position patients for optimal image capture.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire patients' chart data and review requisitions to determine correct room setup and learn of any specific medical problems or contraindications to the study.
• Educate patients regarding the procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and required documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and in good standing.
• Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire: R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
• Experience working with adults and children.

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
