Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Backus Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and technologies to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- One (1) year experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire.
- Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Preferred Requirements:
- BSN or MSN.
- Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area.
- Certification in clinical area.
