Role Summary:
As a full-time Clinical Lead Physician Assistant for the General Surgery team, you will be an essential member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive care to a variety of surgical patients across multiple specialties including elective general surgery, colorectal, bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery.
This position offers a unique opportunity to establish and lead a new PA-led team as elective surgical subspecialties evolve from the Emergency General Surgery/Trauma APP team. Become a vital part of the expanding Department of Surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Physician Assistant, you will:
- Conduct routine physical examinations and develop medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to create comprehensive care plans, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Provide appropriate treatment within the scope of practice and identify issues that require physician intervention.

Requirements:
- Licensure: Must possess an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
