Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Skookum. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of automotive services and repairs to evaluate quality of work that meets or exceeds industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of completed work orders and documentation to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
  • Identify modifications to engines, fuel systems, emissions control equipment, or other vehicle systems to determine the impact of modifications on inspection procedures or conclusions.
  • Monitor or review output from systems, and conduct road tests, to validate road worthiness and operation of commercial motor vehicles.
  • Perform inspections on Shop Stock to ensure adequate service items are on hand prior to semiannual and annual service.
  • Review DA5988 and DA 5990, and equipment records to detect any problems or to ensure compliance with AR.
  • Validate work order flow and review maintenance documents, historical files, and inspection records to note any trends or recurring discrepancies for initiating corrective action plans.
Requirements
  • Eight (8) years minimum of military and civilian commercial vehicle maintenance experience is preferred.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A/B. For veterans, you must be able to obtain a CDL A/B within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
