Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator to join our Counseling team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities to support effective coordination and collaboration, providing support to the Divisions through collecting information, communicating with stakeholders, and gathering feedback from customers on the impact of the Counseling team's work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all activities of the senior leadership team and the Counseling team, including planning, coordinating, facilitating, and managing follow-ups from meetings.
  • Prepare communications from the Counseling team in response to requests for information from stakeholders, including the Board of Education, employee associations, employees, partner organizations, funders, media, and other public information requesters.
  • Collect and consolidate budget, procurement, policy, performance, personnel, and other information.
  • Regularly engage customers, clients, and end users, including through frequent school visits, to gather personal feedback on the impact of activities and needs.
  • Execute special projects of high priority to the department and the district.
  • Develop group and public-facing presentations incorporating information from the department to support the advancement of departmental initiatives.
  • Resolve issues and concerns elevated to or on behalf of individual employees, candidates, or other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in school counseling.
  • At least 5 years working in the district/central office of a large urban school district.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Working Environment

The work environment is typical of an interior office setting, with no hazardous or unpleasant elements. The ability to carry and/or lift less than 45 pounds is required.
