Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care needs to promote optimal recovery.
- Perform basic nursing tasks as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Provide administrative support to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain and develop necessary skills and competencies relevant to the role.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
The compensation for this position is competitive, with an hourly rate starting at $23.82.
Minimum QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
Licensure: Must possess a valid American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS Certification.
Certification RequirementsTo qualify, candidates must meet one of the following:
- Certification as a Nurse Aide in Virginia or completion of an approved Patient Care Technician program.
- At least one year of recent experience in a similar role, with successful completion of a written exam and clinical skills demonstration during a probationary period.
- Passage of a nationally recognized Patient Care Technician certification exam.
This position requires frequent bending, lifting, and the ability to manage physical tasks associated with patient care. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and attention to detail.
