We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Volunteer Driver to transport children to family visits, therapy sessions, and other appointments. As a Volunteer Driver, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of children and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport children to appointments and family visits in a safe and timely manner
- Verify directions and pick-up times with caregivers
- Ensure safety measures are in place, including car seats and seatbelts
- Notify staff of significant events or concerns
- Record mileage and parking costs and submit monthly expense reports
Requirements:
- Competent and safe adult driver
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Reliable vehicle and willingness to drive in rural areas
- Ability to relate to children in a warm and caring manner
- Ability to manage child behavior if necessary
- Well-organized and dependable individual
- Good communication skills and mature problem-solving ability
