Your contributions are vital. Every position influences patient outcomes, and you have the chance to make a significant impact. We are seeking a committed Anesthesia Technician PRN to enhance our department.

Position Summary and Requirements


As an Anesthesia Technician, your role will involve supporting the anesthesia department through preparation, assistance during procedures, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of anesthesia apparatus necessary for patient care and maintain effective communication with patients, medical staff, and hospital personnel.


  • Responsible for managing anesthesia supplies and equipment, including restocking, setting up anesthesia carts, and conducting routine cleaning.
  • Assist in changing and replenishing anesthesia drug trays, refilling machines, and sourcing medications for anesthesia procedures.
  • Support the anesthesia provider during setup and assist with room turnovers.
  • Ensure the availability of safe anesthesia equipment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Proactively manage and prevent accidents in the work area.
  • Assist anesthesiologists during critical procedures such as induction and intubation.
  • Participate in direct patient care tasks, including monitoring equipment setup and patient positioning for anesthesia and surgery.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies using the crash cart and understanding emergency supplies and basic life support techniques.

Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year in an operating room or critical care setting, or 1 year as a Patient Care Technician.
  • Preferred 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or Anesthesia Assistant.
Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by HCA Healthcare policy.
