About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at AM/PM Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in exam rooms and utilize veterinary software for documenting medical notes.
  • Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement.
  • Collect laboratory samples, process, and interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears).
  • Perform diagnostic imaging.
  • Administer anesthesia.
  • Prepare patients for and assist in surgery.
  • Perform dental prophies.
  • Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable).
  • Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients.
  • Communicate with and educate clients.
  • Provide compassionate patient care.
Requirements
  • At least 1+ years of recent veterinary technician experience.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Positive personality.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to work harmoniously with a team.
  • Well-rounded technical skill set.
