Job Title: Certified Medication Aid

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Medication Aid to join our team at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Brookside. As a key member of our skilled nursing facility, this role will focus on medication administration, resident monitoring, and promoting a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents while adhering to facility protocols and physician orders.
  • Document medication administration accurately and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervising nurse.
  • Monitor residents' health status, documenting changes and observations regarding vital signs and medication reactions.
  • Provide respectful support to residents, addressing their needs and preferences to foster a supportive atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure residents' needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards and facility policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant training or coursework in healthcare being beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or similar environment, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Active certification as a Medication Aide (CMA) as required by Nebraska regulations.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require physical stamina and endurance, such as lifting and transferring residents safely.

Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and a PTO plan. Estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
