Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our team at Bryan Health. This is a dynamic role that requires expertise in nuclear medicine procedures and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all types of nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician. They will utilize radiopharmaceuticals, imaging procedures, and techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patient medical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commit to the mission, vision, and core values of Bryan Health.
  • Perform radionuclide procedures, including PET/CT and Spect/CT, under the authorization of a physician with a Radioactive Materials License issued by the Nebraska Health and Human Services Department of Radiological Health.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation; apply EKG patches and cables.
  • Use sterile technique as required.
  • Optimally demonstrate patient anatomy and function through proper positioning, isotope selection, and selection of technical factors.
  • Perform venipuncture.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements for control of radiation and practice radiation safety procedures; provide proper documentation for regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist Radiologist in the therapeutic use of radioisotopes under prescribed safety conditions as applicable.
  • Competently operate all nuclear medicine equipment and support systems to include HIS, RIS, scheduling system, and PACS; perform and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care and procedures in accordance with established nuclear medicine standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a nuclear medicine program or equivalency required.
  • Current certification or certification within three (3) months of hire by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
