Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practice Assistant to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our medical practice, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties with minimal supervision, demonstrating high proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Act as a lead, assigning and prioritizing workflow, troubleshooting issues, and providing backup support to the Supervisor.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to colleagues to resolve complex issues and problems.
  • Assist with training and orientation of new staff, ensuring a smooth transition and high-quality performance.
  • Act as a super user for scheduling, registration, and billing systems, providing training and assistance to others.
  • Perform more complex or specialized functions, such as surgical scheduling, at a high level of competency.
  • Assist with special projects as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality, ensuring the highest standards of data protection.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Some additional training in office systems or post-high school education preferred.
  • Minimum three years of medical office or administrative support experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher level education.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in all applicable applications.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and judgment skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot, with a high level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
