We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at Mission Landscape Companies, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on landscape equipment, ensuring that our fleet is in top working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on landscape equipment, including tune-ups, oil changes, and tire checks.
- Test drive equipment to ensure repairs are completed properly.
- Clean and organize the shop, returning tools to their designated locations.
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
- Repair or replace damaged parts, and sharpen equipment blades as needed.
- Update maintenance and repair logs for equipment.
- Identify and report any safety concerns or potential hazards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape equipment repair and maintenance.
- Excellent mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Work Environment:
The work environment for this position is fast-paced and physically demanding. The successful candidate will be required to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
