Job Summary:

Eaton's Electrical division is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to work 2nd shift in our Santa Ana, CA facility. This position will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of our product line.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and evaluate mechanical hardware design and production methods, equipment, systems, and sub-systems to meet requirements.
Provide expertise in the implementation and interpretation of applicable UL, IEC, and other related specifications.
Propose designs and implement changes to improve product line efficiency and quality.
Support the engineering department in analyzing customer proposals for feasibility and cost.
Review, interpret, and approve technical documents, designs, and schematics.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
Prior internship experience and minimum of 6 months experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Three (3) years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in Finite Element Analysis focused on stress and thermal properties.
