The primary objective of this position is to ensure accurate and timely billing of outpatient Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal managed care claims, both electronically and in hard copy format.
Key Responsibilities:- Billing and follow-up of outpatient facility Medi-Cal managed care claims, with a focus on Alameda Alliance.
- Maintenance of high accuracy rates in data entry, with a goal of 99% or higher.
- Proficiency in Medi-Cal billing and adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
- Strive to uphold the highest ethical and legal standards in all interactions, as outlined in the Children's Hospital Code of Conduct.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a hospital patient accounting setting, with a strong preference for Medi-Cal working knowledge.
- Proficiency in outpatient facility Medi-Cal managed care billing and follow-up, specifically Alameda Alliance.
- Current working knowledge of Medi-Cal managed care regulations, state and federal.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as proportions, discounts, and percentages.
- Strong proficiency in Medi-Cal billing, with a focus on outpatient facility claims.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and productivity.
- Sitting: up to 8 hours/day.
- Standing/Walking: 3-6 hours.
- Bending/Stooping: up to 3 hours.
- Reach: up to 3 hours.
- Rep Use of UE/Grasp: up to 8 hours.
- Lift/Push/Pull: 15 lbs.
