Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Radiology Associates of Hartford PC. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic services for patients of all ages undergoing diagnostic radiology and/or mammographic studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision of the radiologist, you will accurately interpret physician's instructions, routine procedural protocols, and prepare and operate radiographic and mammographic equipment to produce quality images for radiological diagnosis.
  • You will document all patient-related information in the radiology information system in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow.
  • You will acquire patients' chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study, and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
  • You will maintain all aspects of the radiographic and mammographic area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results, maintenance of required documentation, and keep the area in a state of inspection readiness and compliance.
  • You will educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and safety.
  • You will provide coverage as needed and provide instruction/mentoring to new hires.
  • You will continuously strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation programs.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), RT
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RTR). Connecticut Radiographer License
  • Two years of Mammographic, CT scan, MR, and radiologic technologist experience
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
