Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a Utility Asset Management Specialist to support initiatives related to water, wastewater, and stormwater utility assessments. This role is essential in managing data and asset management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in various field operations, which may involve leading utility inspections, conducting environmental assessments, collecting GPS data, or performing safety evaluations.
  • Prepare and adjust maps, inspection protocols, conceptual designs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Provide support for the management and maintenance of utility databases, focusing on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
  • Develop alternative technical solutions and design options to support project teams, including evaluating data collection and inspection technologies.
  • Implement findings from reports and recommendations to address utility management challenges.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with the project delivery team and clients.
  • Oversee and coordinate technical tasks for projects in line with experience.
  • Lead the technical approach and criteria for design elements and manage complex tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and Health and Safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with four years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in database management and GIS technologies.
  • NASSCO M/P/PACP certification.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Background in facility condition assessments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
