Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for executing Asset Protection initiatives in assigned locations, implementing shortage reduction programs, and partnering with local store management to meet strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection Initiatives: Execute Asset Protection initiatives in assigned locations, including implementation of shortage reduction programs in high-shrink locations.
  • Partnership with Store Management: Partner with local store management to meet strategic Asset Protection objectives and leverage business and sales performance for shortage reduction.
  • Training and Development: Participate in store associate training regarding approved Asset Protection initiatives and workshops, and provide clear and consistent training to all store personnel on safety communication guidelines and current crisis management protocols.
  • Operational Audits: Conduct routine assessment of store operations, pre-shrink indicators, and safety compliance measures through operational audits.
  • Investigations and Surveillance: Proactively monitor controls and conduct surveillance to identify and investigate associate dishonesty, conduct investigations and interviews for inventory, cash loss, and violations of policy, and apprehend and deter theft in accordance with company apprehension policies.
  • Organized Retail Crime: Initiate and support investigations related to Organized Retail Crime while partnering with Zone ORC Investigator and local law enforcement.
  • Special Projects: Complete special projects as assigned by Regional Manager of Asset Protection.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience in the Asset Protection field or relevant experience in a retail setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company apprehension guidelines, ability to work nights, evenings, and weekends as needed, and must pass a comprehensive background investigation.
  • Physical Requirements: Must fulfill all physical requirements, including standing and walking.
