Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our team at the Stanford Hotel Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of food production, including maintaining food quality and presentation standards, training of cooks, control of food safety, and ensuring employee duties and responsibilities are completed and meeting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food production
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Train and develop cooks to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Control food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure employee duties and responsibilities are completed and meeting standards

Requirements

  • Culinary Certificate or Degree from an accredited culinary program
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced full-service restaurant/kitchen environment
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced full-service restaurant/kitchen environment; hotel restaurant experience a plus
  • 3-5 years of banquet experience
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Menu planning and food costing experience/skills required
  • Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain the highest food quality standards
  • Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity
