Broadcast Production Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team at Mediabistro. As a key member of our production crew, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including cameras, teleprompters, audio boards, and video equipment, to ensure the successful production of live broadcasts and post-production content.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation
- Operate cameras, teleprompters, audio boards, and video equipment to support live broadcasts and post-production content
- Production Support
- Assist the production team with setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Content Preparation
- Prepare and edit syndicated promos for air and web content using Adobe Premiere
- Studio Maintenance
- Maintain the appearance of studios, including cleaning of sets and floors
- Lighting and Script Preparation
- Understand and maintain lighting grids and control boards
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure successful broadcasts and content production
Requirements
- Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software
- Experience
- Videography experience is highly desirable
- Soft Skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
