As a Seasonal Client Support Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact for citizens. Your expertise will equip our voters with essential information and guidance. This position offers a fantastic entry-level chance to understand the workings of Maricopa County.

About Us

The STAR Contact Center is dedicated to delivering knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient responses to all incoming telephone inquiries directed to the Recorder, Elections, Assessor, and Treasurer offices, as well as assisting callers who reach the County Switchboard. With access to various offices and their data, our Contact Center Specialists can address nearly every question in a single call. Bilingual representatives are also available.

The Elections Office is devoted to providing voters with precise information regarding election administration in one of the largest voting jurisdictions in the country. Elections are intricate and governed by numerous state and federal regulations. Discover more about how Maricopa County manages elections. We Require

  • A minimum of six months of professional clerical or customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Handles calls requiring skilled communication and accurate information based on policies, guidelines, and directives of each agency represented
  • Acts as a communication facilitator between the public and contact center management
  • Communicates and processes information to the Lead or Supervisor when necessary
  • Answers incoming phone calls; may need to take and relay messages
  • Provides factual information to the public and/or other County employees
  • Maintains logs and other forms of information data entry
  • Completes and reviews routine forms and memos ensuring accuracy and completeness

Working Conditions

This position is in an office environment and will require prolonged periods of sitting.
