Job Title: Sales Account Manager

At Briggs & Stratton, we're seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales life cycle for specific customers, identifying new business opportunities, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill the sales life cycle, from initial contact to close, including scheduling and facilitating product demonstrations and closing deals.
  • Identify decision-makers amongst targeted leads and develop and contact new customers to convert them into new business for the organization.
  • Grow existing account base through new customer acquisitions and selling existing accounts.
  • Serve as an escalation point for day-to-day customer support and resolution.
  • Create and maintain accurate customer database records by entering customer calls, results, and other information.
  • Develop and maintain current product knowledge, market knowledge, new products or services, regulations, technical information, competition, warranties, product reliability, and other general information of interest to customers.
Requirements:
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
  • Solid computer skills, including understanding of sales software systems, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with peers and work toward a common goal.
  • Selling techniques, including the ability to negotiate, motivate, and persuade.
  • Solid business acumen.
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of three years of experience in a sales, sales support, or customer service environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Limited travel.
