This position reports to

Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to oversee supply chain planning, inventory oversight, and resource allocation within the regional distribution center or local Sales organization. Daily, you will spearhead planning initiatives aimed at enhancing customer delivery performance and reducing lead times. You will also demonstrate your proficiency by ensuring compliance with inventory and supply strategies. The work model for this role is: onsite. This position contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Providing insights into supply capacity and local supply goals within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
• Taking responsibility for site inventory and leading inventory optimization initiatives at the site.
• Managing a short-term planning process or Sales & Operation Execution (S&OE) process, ensuring seamless operations.
• Leading or participating in cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing customer delivery performance, lead times, inventory management, resource utilization, and forecast accuracy.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain.
  • 8 years of experience in Planning, Logistics, or Supply Chain is required.
  • Experience with SAP is necessary.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • APICS CPIM Certification is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in inventory management.
  • Solid understanding of financials and efficient operations to maximize Net Working Capital.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in a related industry.
  • Experience in value chain management from order entry to shipment.
  • Experience in large manufacturing locations with revenues exceeding 100 MUSD.
  • Comprehensive understanding of master scheduling and planning for multiple product lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Prior experience in people management; showcasing effective leadership skills.
  • Career advancement in Supply Chain Management / Planning and Fulfillment.
  • Six Sigma expertise.
  • Lean Manufacturing skills and their application.
  • Candidates must already possess work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
