This position reports to

Planning & Fulfillment Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the chance to lead a dedicated team of Buyers to ensure precise and timely procurement operations, including transactional purchasing, e-sourcing, data management, and reporting. Each day, you will oversee execution in alignment with company and Procurement team protocols and procedures. You will also demonstrate your expertise by monitoring procurement activities within the team, while ensuring high-quality delivery service at optimized transactional costs. Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring Buyers mitigate risks related to quality and financial exposure by adhering to quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.
• Guaranteeing the correct application of group guidelines to enhance cost, quality, delivery, and working capital (payment terms, lead times, order quantities, and purchased material inventory).
• Implementing, operating, maintaining, and evaluating supply chain systems.
• Analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and proposing enhancements to existing and planned procurement processes.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI analytics, and SAP
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory/materials/operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must possess valid work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
