As a Pharmacy Buyer I at Saunders Staffing Agency, you will be responsible for coordinating the ordering of necessary pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment, and services required for Pharmacy and various departments of our healthcare facilities. You will ensure that hospital values and quality customer service are reflected in all aspects of departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the ordering of pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment, and services
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Manage inventory levels and optimize supply chain operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician
- Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Five years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Three to five years of purchasing experience may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education
- Pharmacy Technician License
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- L-TX-Pharmacy Tech
- BLS (AHA), C-PTCB Pharmacy Tech CPhT
- Two-year degree is preferred, but not required
- College coursework with emphasis in business or accounting-related courses is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is highly desirable
