About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Foundations for Living. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy department in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications to patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and perform routine tasks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in a pharmacy setting or related field.
  • Certified and registered Pharmacy Technician by the relevant state board of pharmacy.
  • IV Certification required (or must be obtained within 12 months of hire).
  • Annual Requirements: Demonstrating knowledge and Competency of USP 797 Core Skills.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to learn prescribed routine procedures.
  • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergency requests.
  • Ability to maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with other employees and respond to general public complaints.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
