Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our electronic manufacturing, testing, and calibration laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics and laboratory management, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the temperature/pressure calibration lab, scheduling, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of electronic components and hazardous materials.
Develop and implement laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate with other departments to schedule and prioritize lab activities.
Manage laboratory budget, including procurement of equipment, tools, and materials.

Technical Responsibilities:
Assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits, devices, and systems.
Conduct experimental setups and assist in product development and testing.
Document test results, maintain accurate records, and prepare technical reports.
Provide technical support and training to other team members and departments.

Inventory and Equipment Management:
Monitor inventory levels of tools, and supplies.
Order and restock lab materials as necessary to prevent shortages.
Maintain an organized and clean laboratory environment.
Ensure that all lab equipment is functional and properly maintained.

Quality Assurance and Safety:
Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of lab results.
Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the lab.
Regularly inspect lab equipment and workspaces for potential safety hazards.

Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to support project requirements.
Assist customers in the application and support of our products
Communicate lab capabilities, progress, and findings to management and other teams.
Lead and mentor junior technicians and interns, providing guidance and training.

Qualifications:

Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of [3] years of experience in an electronics lab environment, with at least [3] years in a supervisory or management role.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in electronic manufacturing, troubleshooting, and repair.
Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.
Strong understanding of electronic components, schematics, and PCB layouts.

Management Skills:
Proven ability to manage lab operations, including scheduling, electronics manufacturing and budgeting.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Other Requirements:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Work Environment:
The position is based in a manufacturing environment, requiring the use of various electronic testing and diagnostic tools.
Occasional lifting of equipment and materials may be required.
Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
