Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will be a strategic partner in our organization, working directly with executive leadership to align IT strategy with the company's strategic goals.
The IT Manager is responsible for all IT aspects in the organization, including needs assessment, solution evaluation, vendor selection, and implementation, as well as integration with vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage IT staff and coordinate yearly reviews.
- Maintain and review IT infrastructure, service contracts, and negotiations.
- Maintain and review IT protocols and standards.
- Maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Manage internship programs with local community colleges.
- Function as the lab information system administrator.
- Maintain local VMware servers and redundant systems.
- Perform necessary training requirements for staff.
- Perform software demonstrations using Zoom Webinars.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and security.
- Manage cloud software releases.
- Project manage the following items:
- Integrations with laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and electronic health records (EHR).
- Integrations with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and human resources information systems (HRIS).
- Custom software specification and design.
- Software development life cycle (SDLC).
- In-house developed software.
- In-house third-party software.
- Servers.
- PC workstations.
- Network.
- Manage third-party cyber defense staff.
- Manage disaster recovery systems and processes.
- Run checks and penetration tests on internal and external software.
- Maintain website certificates and domains.
- Provide light programming development when needed.
- Brainstorm with staff on research and development (R&D) and software development.
- Certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE, VMware, or similar.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or commensurate experience.
- Systems: Windows, Linux, OS X, and Cisco Systems, VMware, Apple, Azure Cloud Services, VMware Servers, VMware Networking, Stonly Software, Mitel Telephone Networks, NxtGen Firewalls, Zoom.
- Networking: Switches, routers, hubs, servers, cables, racks, firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS, Mitel, VMware, Azure networking.
- Software: Microsoft Office Administration, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft TEAMS, QuickBooks, Visual Studio 2017 & 2019, Microsoft API 2.0, RESTful applications, LogMeIn, Zoho, FreshService, Stonly, FreshDesk, Snag-it, HubSpot, Constant Contact, TeamWork Project Management, and Trello.
