Overview

This role is situated within the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, specifically in the Employee Services Division. As a Human Resources Coordinator (OA), you will deliver consultative advisory services on various human resources programs and systems to supervisors, managers, the Administrative Resource Center (ARC), and other HR specialists, thereby supporting the Bureau's human resources initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Coordinator (OA), your duties will include:
  • Executing a diverse range of technical support tasks in the HR functional areas of Recruitment and Placement, Benefits, and general employment processes.
  • Conducting research and establishing alternative external recruitment channels, including websites, onsite visits, and recruitment events.
  • Assisting specialists in preparing for new employee orientation by ensuring new hire packages are ready, speakers are contacted, and venues are booked.
  • Acting as a liaison with the shared service center Employee Benefits Branch to facilitate the submission of benefit documentation; aiding employees with the submission of documents related to retirement, TSP, and beneficiaries.
  • Utilizing office automation tools and various software applications to create, edit, store, retrieve, and print a variety of documents; producing correspondence, memoranda, directives, and reports; maintaining spreadsheets or databases.
  • Serving as a records management liaison for the Employment Services Division.

Experience may have been gained in the public, private sector, or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized Experience for this position includes:

- Assisting with human resource processes such as recruiting and placement AND

- Applying Human Resources regulations, laws, and guidance AND

- Utilizing a human resources automated system.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-06 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. All employees must take leave for workdays during the shutdown period.

  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation.
