We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Analyst IV to join our team at American International Group (AIG). As a Claims Analyst IV, you will be responsible for handling complex financial lines claims from inception to conclusion, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and evaluate complex claims, making coverage determinations and projecting potential exposures
- Develop and implement resolution strategies, working with underwriting and outside law firms as needed
- Manage a portfolio of high-value claims, communicating regularly with stakeholders and promoting customer-focused claim resolution
- Act as a technical claims expert and thought leader, providing training and support to colleagues
- Contribute to continuous improvement in Claims, supporting Quality Assurance and Regional Audit processes
- Significant experience handling third-party, complex insurance claims, litigation, or other related experience
- Advanced knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for Financial Lines claims
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; multi-state adjuster licenses and/or JD preferred
- Experience in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and ADR skills on higher-value complex claims
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- A track record of following up effectively on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous file handling improvement
