Job Overview

The Finance Administrative Associate will provide essential support to the Accounting Department by executing various financial and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage incoming communications including phone calls, correspondence, and emails.
  • Participate in budget discussions alongside the Director.
  • Provide assistance with donor inquiries.
  • Maintain organized filing systems to ensure compliance and accessibility of records.
  • Support the scheduling of meetings and preparation of budget documentation.

Accounting Duties:

  • Assist the accounting team with the weekly financial review.
  • Process and record donations accurately.
  • Support the proper documentation and entry of non-cash contributions.
  • Collaborate with the Accountant on the management of fixed assets using Fixed Asset Software (FAS).
  • Contribute to the development of the annual budget.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing budget allocations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other tasks as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting or a related field, or two years of relevant financial experience.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining basic Excel spreadsheets is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong desire to engage with fundamental accounting practices and budget management.
  • Familiarity with standard office procedures and practices.
  • Proficient in English language usage, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
