What responsibilities will you undertake in this role?

  • This role transcends traditional sales. It focuses on developing innovative technological solutions tailored to unique customer challenges, collaborating closely with our engineering teams. Each day presents a new challenge that contributes to the advancement of smarter homes, cities, facilities, and electrical grids. Your ability to listen to customers and provide solutions that align with their long-term objectives is crucial.
  • Every client and project is unique. Our clients face a variety of critical challenges. For instance, one may require reliable power for a new hospital wing, while another might need support for a vital data center serving emergency services. Our clientele spans various sectors, including residential and commercial buildings, data centers, industrial sites, and infrastructure, where we strive to make electricity more sustainable, intelligent, and dependable.

Daily Activities Include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to assigned Electrical Consultants (power system designers), End Users, or Municipal Accounts across various market segments, influencing and guiding the design of complex digitally connected electrical distribution systems.
  • Engaging in solution sales that encompass Medium Voltage, Low Voltage Distribution, Motor Control, Power Switching (ASCO), Digital Power, Services, and Power Monitoring engineered-to-order equipment to manage, monitor, automate, and control customers' electrical networks.
  • Providing insights to Product Lines regarding industry trends, competitor actions, and regulatory changes, translating customer needs to integrate with other Schneider Electric business units.
  • Developing an advanced understanding of Schneider Electric's software, cloud analytics, and service offerings related to customers' digital and sustainability objectives.
  • Connecting Electrical Consulting firms and End Users with innovative offers, applications, and tools to help them achieve their project goals.
  • Consulting with C-Level Executives, Principals, Lead Electrical Engineers, and key Staff Engineers to promote Schneider Electric innovations and influence specifications.
  • Collaborating with teams from Sales, Strategic Accounts, Business Development, Services, Industrial Automation Specialists, Application Engineers, and Product Lines to deliver comprehensive solutions that address customer needs.
  • Interpreting electrical plans and specifications to provide accurate pre-sales application and technical support, recommending solutions that align with customer project requirements.
  • Driving strategic growth within assigned accounts, serving as the primary interface for demand generation among Electrical Consultants in the marketplace.
  • Utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to map the deal landscape, assisting teams from specification to closure with a focus on target accounts and segments.
  • Representing Schneider Electric at various local and regional technical groups and industry events.

Who is the ideal candidate?

  • 6+ years of relevant design, application, or sales experience in Power Distribution is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred; a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is advantageous.
  • Advanced experience in electrical distribution or energy management industries.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with C-Suite executives and familiarity with consultative sales methodologies.
  • Experience with low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, automation, controls, or energy management technologies. Familiarity with Square D Power Distribution Equipment is preferred.
