Position Title: Systems Administrator (Linux) with TS/SCI Clearance

Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Systems Administrator with expertise in Linux environments to provide comprehensive operational support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing both virtual and physical server infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily operational support for Linux and Windows systems and applications.
  • Manage the virtual and physical server infrastructure, particularly CentOS, across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Design and maintain cloud environments utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ensure system integrity and security through continuous monitoring and analysis of security feeds.
  • Create and uphold standards and procedures for applications within a complex computing framework.
  • Document processes and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze incidents, and implement remediation strategies.
  • Develop and execute testing strategies, documenting outcomes effectively.
  • Utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance system efficiency.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to the role.
  • Research, recommend, and coordinate the installation of hardware and software solutions.
  • Engage with users to assess vendor products and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Analyze incidents to identify root causes and ensure appropriate resolutions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with fellow system administrators and engineers to facilitate application integration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Extensive experience with Redhat and/or CentOS operating systems.
  • Proven expertise in VMWare ESXi infrastructure, including vCenter server and host clustering.
  • Experience in server builds using automated mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Ansible and/or Puppet for configuration management.
  • Experience with AWS for application deployment and maintenance.
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git, Gitlab, or Github.
  • Experience with project management tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of managing Elasticsearch on CentOS.
  • Strong collaboration skills with other IT professionals to resolve complex issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Linux System Administrator.
  • Understanding of network engineering principles and design.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server versions.
  • Familiarity with SCCM, WDS, MS SQL Server, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with Syslog applications like Splunk.
  • Knowledge of NetApp NAS systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with Hadoop infrastructure and applications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Cisco networking equipment is beneficial.
  • AWS Certification is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification is advantageous.
  • Certifications in IT Security (CISSP, GIAC, Security+) are a plus.

Compensation: $200,000 to $300,000 annually
