Role Overview

As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability and performance of our systems. Your responsibilities will encompass the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both Linux and Windows-based systems, focusing on enhancing security and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive operational support for Linux and Windows environments.
  • Manage both virtual and physical server infrastructures, particularly those running CentOS.
  • Develop and maintain cloud environments utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Ensure system integrity and security through continuous monitoring and proactive measures.
  • Create and uphold standards and procedures for applications across a complex infrastructure.
  • Document processes and maintain thorough records of system configurations and changes.
  • Analyze system performance, document incidents, and implement remediation strategies.
  • Utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance system efficiency.
  • Stay updated on relevant technologies and recommend hardware/software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with extensive experience in Linux systems administration, particularly with Redhat and CentOS. Familiarity with VMWare ESXi, Ansible, and AWS is highly desirable.

Desired Skills

Preferred qualifications include certifications in Linux system administration, knowledge of network engineering fundamentals, and experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
