Position Overview:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Endoscopy department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care.
Department:
Endoscopy GI
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
On-call duties are required three weekdays per month and one weekend day per month.

Preferred Experience:
Candidates with backgrounds in L&D, ICU, Med/Surg, or procedural nursing are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care following established policies and protocols.
- Develop and monitor patient care plans.
- Assess, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
- Act as the primary coordinator for interdisciplinary patient care.
- Execute physician and nursing orders effectively.
- Evaluate and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification: BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire. Acceptable certifications include those from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing required prior to hire.

Education:
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
